Express Yourself at “Expressions” Sacramento Pride Festival After-Party
Spencer Douglas, President of Sacramento LGBTQ Youth Task Force and his team of youth leaders and activist has organized a special pride after-party, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 8:00 PM at Beatnik Studios; 2421 17th Street, Sacramento, CA 95818 for youth ages 13 – 20.
The Task Force has partnered with the Sacramento LGBT Center, Infinite Entertainment, Mental Health America, Sacramento City Unified School District, Gender Health Center, and other local organizations in order to provide a safe place for youth who are not old enough to go to the clubs but who would like to celebrate after a day at the 2013 Sacramento Capitol Pride Festival on Capitol Mall.
Douglas and his leadership team are planning a party with loads of music and entertainment, and of course dancing to the beat of a DJ. Local recording artist, Raquela Singer will stop by and perform a few songs from her new album. There will also be light snacks and possibly a food truck. Youth are encouraged to bring and display any art work they would like to show off.
This event will be an alcohol and drug free zone and with security and adult supervision volunteers.
