Working alongside local film aficionado, Fred Dobb, CASA is proud to present a summer film series to raise funds for our non-profit, Help Chiapas, and to provide the Sacramento community with the opportunity to celebrate Mexico’s Golden Film Age. All money raised will go towards scholarships and educational materials for our sister community, Ignacio Allende.
The May 13th event will begin with live music performed by Dinorah, giving all the opportunity to mingle and purchase food and drinks before Fred gives a brief introduction of the evening’s film, Río Escondido, starring María Félix. Entrance into the event is free and food and beverages will be available for purchase, with proceeds going to Help Chiapas. To read more about Help Chiapas visit our facebook pages Help Chiapas or inquire at info@casadeespanol.org.
We ask that you please bring a fold out chair to set up in the parking lot for the movie, and we hope you all join us for some fun Fridays as we raise money for our familia in Chiapas!
